For the fifth straight year, the Central softball team found themselves in the Top 20 on the academic chart for student-athletes with a GPA north of 3.50. Eleven total Dutch softball players were on the NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes list, which is the ninth-highest total of any Division III school. The award recognizes athletes with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. Three players, Briana Haycraft, Chelsea Greiner, and Jordan Overland, all had a perfect 4.00 grade point average. Central finished 30 – 12 overall in 2014 and were ranked 20th in the final NFCA Division III poll.
