A coach and a runner were each recognized for their recent efforts at Central College this week. Central men’s basketball coach, Craig Douma, received the Red Raider Club Coach of the Year Award from Northwestern College in Iowa in Orange City. He’ll officially receive the award on October 25, and will be recognized after leading his team to a 21 – 8 record and a conference championship after being picked by league coaches to finish last in the 2013-14 season. Eli Horton was again tabbed the Iowa Conference runner of the week. He was seventh individually at the Wisconsin – Eau Claire Blugold Invitational, and knocked a minute off of his best time this season.
