What looked like what would be a relatively easy night turned into some tense moments for the Pella Christian volleyball team last night.

The Eagles did dispatch Norwalk in four sets, 25 – 17, 25 – 15, 23 – 25, and 25 – 21. The Warriors had problems with serve-receive all night, allowing the Eagles to record a whopping 17 aces, six of them from Andrea Horstman who also finished with a team-high 16 kills. Norwalk turned up the intensity in games three and four, serving more aggressively, but Coach Cindy Nikkel says it was an entire team effort that helped them battle back in game four to close the match out. Christa Veenstra also added 15 kills and four aces for the Eagles, who are now 17 – 9 overall on the season and still a perfect 4 – 0 in conference play. They will play a non-conference game at home against Knoxville tomorrow night.
