Concluding their regular season with a tournament, Pella Christian volleyball coach, Cindy Nikkel, says that her girls played the best ball of the season at Saturday’s Knoxville tourney. Her Eagles finished second place to Iowa Falls, who is ranked 11th. Pella Christian won in three sets over Perry, 21 – 18, 19 – 21, and 16 – 14; swept Knoxville and Grinnell, beat A-D-M in three, and their only loss came to Iowa Falls in three sets, 25 – 22, 17 – 25, and 8 – 15. Coach Nikkel tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her team missed three serves in the third game, which ended up costing them. The Eagles finish the regular season with a 23 – 11 record, and they are off for over a week until they host the second round of the Class 2A regional tournament on the 28th.
