The Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad finished fourth in their own invitational yesterday at Pine Knolls Country Club.The Panthers had 121 points and were 18 ahead of Newton. Pella won the meet with 26 total points. Chase Larson led the Panthers with a 21st place finish. Coach Michael Splavec told KNIA/KRLS he was pleased with the way the guys ran on a very tough course. Splavec was very happy about the spread between his top six runners at just :27.6 which was the best of any team. The girls finished ninth with Lucy Olson crossing the line in 43rd place to lead Knoxville. Splavec said the girls are improving on their times. Pella also won the girls meet.
