Enjoying the luxuries of having a first round bye in the Class 2A regional volleyball tournament, Pella Christian is busy resting up, recovering, and practicing for what could be a lengthy playoff stay in 2014. The Eagles were 5 – 8 after the Iowa City West tournament, but finished the season an incredible 18 – 3, and tied for first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Coach Cindy Nikkel says it has a lot to do with how the team interacts with one another and their desire to never say die. Pella Christian will play Des Moines Christian in the Tulip City next Tuesday in the second round of the regional tournament.
