A chance to get a game above .500 in their conference schedule awaits Pella High’s volleyball team at home tonight against Newton. The Lady Dutch played well on their home court on Saturday with their invitational tournament, going 4 – 1 on the day to improve their record to 16 – 19. Coach Catie Brand says her team has a goal of finishing 4 – 2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, but beyond that, she wants to see her team make those marginal improvements so they are ready for regional tournament play which isn’t too far away. First serve of tonight’s varsity match is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
