In the 1A cross country state qualifying meet, Pleasantville and Twin Cedars are tasked to run at Wildwood Park in Ottumwa to be able to go to Fort Dodge in November. For the girls, the top-ranked team in the state, Pekin, along with number-five West Marshall will be in attendance. Pekin is also seventh on the boys’ side. Trojans’ coach, Aaron Allspach, and Sabers’ coach, Alan Stewart, both hope their runners’ hard work will culminate in a few tickets to state. The Class 1A meet in Ottumwa is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
