One team battling for home field and the other just to get in, both Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars football captured big victories last night in Week Eight. The Saints toppled Moravia, 42 – 16, to move to 6 – 2 on the season, and then got some help from Twin Cedars, who edged Mormon Trail, 42 – 30. Dakota Pinegar scored the game-winning touchdown for the Sabers with time winding down in the fourth quarter. The Sabers are back to .500 with a 4 – 4 record; they must win over Harmony next Friday and, if their in-county rival Saints defeat Mormon Trail on the same night, the Sabers would be back into the playoffs as the number four seed.
