Pleasantville football makes the long hike down to Mount Ayr for their Week Eight match-up tonight. The Trojans have been able to take advantage of a more manageable district than the one they were in the last two years, and currently hold a 3 – 2 record in Class A District 8. However, the Raiders are more like the gauntlet of teams Pleasantville had to go through, like Montezuma, BGM, and Pekin. Mount Ayr has used a strong, balanced attack to lead them to a 7 – 1 record; they have four backs with at least 200 yards on the ground, and quarterback, Jacob Taylor, has thrown for almost 700 yards this season. With all of the new wrinkles the coaching staff puts in on a weekly basis, Coach Gabe Bakker says they will be keeping things relatively simple against a good, all-around Raiders team. Kris Krug has the call for you on KNIAKRLS.com, with pregame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. with kick-off at seven.
