There may not be a roller-coaster ride in the United States that rivals the one that the Pleasantville football team has been on this year. The Trojans were shutout by Colfax-Mingo to begin the season, rattled off three straight wins, fought hard with Bedford and Earlham, before getting trounced by Mount Ayr just last Friday. Tonight, Pleasantville must take care of a winless Clarinda Academy squad to reach the playoffs for the first time in several years. The only success the Eagles have had this year has come on the ground. They also have played in just one game, versus Southeast Warren, where the outcome has been decided by less than 40 points. Coach Gabe Bakker hopes his guys go out there and duplicate everyone else’s success against the Eagles. Kris Krug and Ed Bull will be up in the Trojan press box for tonight’s game, which will be streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com, starting with pre-game coverage at 6:30 p.m. and kick-off at seven.
