A famous, white-haired wrestler once said, “To be the champ, ya gotta beat the champ!” With or without the “woo” at the end of that sentence, that is exactly what’s facing Pella High in two short days up in Cedar Falls with the defending Class 3A champion, Sioux City Heelan awaiting them. That’s unique about the championship game is that this is the first time since after Week Eight that both teams will be on “normal rest” between contests. Coach Jay McKinstrey knows that the few extra days of “recovery” is just what the doctor ordered before Thursday. The Little Dutch are without any significant injury at the moment heading into the championship game in a couple days. Our coverage will start once again with a live edition of the Jeromy Dingeman Concrete Football Friday Night Radio Preview Show from live inside of the KNIA/KRLS Little Big Red Radio beginning at 5:00 p.m. with kick-off scheduled for 7:06.
