A career day on Saturday allowed Josh Osborn to earn Iowa Conference co-conference athlete of the week honors yesterday. The senior carried the ball a school-record 45 times for 254 yards and three touchdowns in a 38 – 7 shellacking of Dubuque. Osborn was also one of three Dutch footballers to make the first team of the All-Iowa Conference honors list. In addition to Osborn, Jacob Edleman and Kevin Sheldon were also chosen. Making the second team were Ryan Collins, Eric Larson, Jacob Tune, Nick Henry, Brody Janssen, and Drew Carlson. Honorable mentions went to Aaron Eiseler, Sam Markham, Brendon Boerm, Garrett Young, and Jordan Youngman. Central’s football team went 8 – 2 on the year and ended the season on a six-game winning streak.
