It has almost become an expectation for most of the last decade to go to Fort Dodge and the State Cross Country Meet and see a green jersey that says “Pella” on the front of it. The year 2014 is no different, as both the Little and Lady Dutch will chase a state championship in Class 3A later today. The boys, who have been ranked number one very recently, are in another tough field, and Coach Doug Cutler believes his team is one of a small handful that could wind up hoisting the first place trophy. For the girls, Tess Roorda was the individual state champion last year, but will have to defend that title amongst a much deeper group. The girls’ Class 3A meet is scheduled to start at noon, with the boys to follow at 12:30.
