Usually after being shut out, a football teams does not get much confidence. However, the Knoxville Football Squad was very confident after a 28-0 loss to Pella in week five. The Panthers held the Little Dutch scoreless until late in the first half and nearly pulled off a safety to take an early lead. Panthers Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS after that game, the players realized they could play with anyone on the their schedule and the playoffs were not out of the question. Knoxville would go on to win three straight games and not just win but dominate the opposition by an average margin of 39-6. The Panthers finished 4-6 this season and made the class 3A playoffs for the first time in 24 years.
