A handful of Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars volleyball players found themselves on the 2014 All-Bluegrass Conference team. For the Saints, Jessica Anderson and Sydney Suntken each were chosen to the second team. Anderson, a junior, led the team in kills with 130, and was the Saints’ most effective server, getting in almost 93% of her serves. Suntken, another junior, had 75 kills, third most on the team, and 36 aces, which was second best for her Saints. Kaylee Houston was an honorable mention for Melcher-Dallas. For Twin Cedars, Shyann DenBurger was named to the second team. The senior had 63 kills, second most for the Sabers, and led her squad with 36 ace serves and an impressive 98.4% serve efficiency, which was first overall in the conference for players with at least 100 attempts. Each school loses two seniors from their varsity squad for 2015.
