As a first year coach Knoxville’s Michael Splavec was spending the first part of the season getting to know his runners and seeing what they could do. He also was learning about himself in a first coaching job of his career. Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he learned how to evaluate runners just as he did himself when he was a runner at Central College, and translating that knowledge to his high school runners. The Panthers return nearly all of the runners that scored in meet this season for 2015. Splavec says he is already looking forward to the 2015 season.
