The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad has had many bright spots this early season, in fact likely too many to list in a one minute story. So let’s give it a shot. The Panthers are out to their best start in over ten years at 5-2, they knocked off then number five Chariton on December 12th, the Panthers are the top three point shooting team in the South Central Conference, and many others. Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA/KRLS that Trent Davis, brothers Austin and Justin Little have been key to the team’s success, but he says it is a total team that has got Knoxville to this point. Knoxville will return to action on Saturday with a game against former Little Hawkeye Conference rival Newton. A reminder to fans, the sub varsity games start at Knoxville High School and Middle School at one, with the varsity contests tipping off in the high school gym starting with the girl’s game at four.
