The good times keep rolling for the Central men’s basketball team, who posted another impressive victory over a quality school, 86 – 84 over St. Ambrose on Friday night in Davenport. The Dutch have lived or died by the “three-ball,” but despite making seven of their outside shots in the first half, they trailed, 40 – 36. Central had to rely on shooting inside to storm back for the win; they made 15-of-22 shots from inside the arc to steal one away from the Bees. Colby Taylor had 21 points and 12 rebounds and Kyle Newendorp also put together a double-double with 20 points and ten boards, as Central improves to 6 – 1 on the year. They’ll play this afternoon against Mount Mercy out of Cedar Rapids.
