The rules say games must go 32 minutes long in regulation to decide a winner. Last night at West Marshall, the Pella Christian boys’ basketball team only needed eight. The Eagles were up 29 – 3 over the Trojans after one period and cruised to a 59 – 35 win in their 2014-15 season debut. Three Eagles ended up in double figures in the scoring column, led by Levi Jungling’s 17. David Kacmarynski had a near double-double with 12 points and nine boards, and Josh Posthuma had 11. Pella Christian’s boys are 1 – 0 to begin the season, and they’ll look for win number two tonight at home against A-D-M. The Eagles’ girls will also be looking for their second victory of the year under the same roof in a doubleheader you can listen to live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com. Andrew Schneider and Wynne Veenstra have the play-by-play. Pre-game coverage will start at 5:45 p.m. with tip-off at six.
