It has been a little over a month since the end of the football season, and tonight, the Pella Christian boys’ basketball team tips off the winter season with a road trip to West Marshall. The Eagles won the season opener over the Trojans last year in a game that came down to the wire. This year, there are many questions marks with both benches. Pella Christian brings all but three players back from a year ago, while the Trojans are dealing with some key losses from a state tournament team in 2014. Eagles’ coach, Larry Hessing, says he’ll be more focused on how his team debuts. Pella Christian and West Marshall will play the JV game first at 6:00 p.m. with the varsity to follow at around 7:30.
