Once again stepping out of the conference, the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team will begin their final week of the 2014 part of their schedule tonight when they stay at home to take on Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. The Eagles had an outstanding week of basketball over the last seven days, capped off by a dominating effort over Oskaloosa on Friday. The Rockets are undefeated in the South Central Conference thus far, and post a 5 – 2 record entering today’s game. Three different Eddyville players are averaging double-digit points this year, with one, Karlie Taylor, almost putting together a double-double per game as she is grabbing nearly ten rebounds each contest. Coach Kevin Van Maanen says the Rockets are quick and big on the court. It’ll be a ninth-grade, JV, varsity triple header inside of the Pella Christian High School gym tonight. The “main event” is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
