Playing in back-to-back nights, the PCM basketball teams had happier endings than what they experienced on Monday, sweeping Colfax-Mingo last night. The lady Mustangs won 61 – 22; PCM got out to a 28 – 6 first quarter lead and did not look back. Four players found double-figures, led by Rachel Freland’s 12, Courtney VanHouweling, Katie VandeWall, and Kayla Jennings all scored 11 for the ‘Stangs, who are now 4 – 2 on the year. The boys’ game was equally as competitive, as Fred Lorensen’s crew blitzed the Tigerhawks, 76 – 35, after outscoring Colfax-Mingo 24 – 6 in the third period. Logan Gillman had 18, Luke Pendroy had 12 for PCM, as they boys are back to .500 with a 2 – 2 mark. PCM has a few days off to get ready for a road trip to C-M-B this Friday.
