It was quite a way to kick off the home basketball season for the Pella Christian Eagles after the girls won 58-55 and the boys won 72-61 against ADM on games heard live on 92.1 KRLS. The first one was a wild finish that came down to last few seconds, as Hannah Beltman checked into the game after missing most of the game in foul trouble, and scored the go-ahead basket with seven seconds left on the clock. The boys dominated underneath the basket against the Tigers, with David Kackmaryski racking up 21 points. Boys Head Coach Larry Hessing says it was tough to turn around and face ADM without a practice after Monday’s win over West Marshall, and says they have plenty to work on. The 2-0 boys and 3-0 girls head on the road to face Newton on Friday.
