Registering some tough losses over the past couple of weeks, the Pleasantville girls’ basketball team gave a Top-Five ranked Bedford squad all they could handle in a 66 – 52 loss. Kennedy Core dropped in 26 points, and came up with five rebounds while doling out five assists. Trojans’ boys coach, Tom Wilkins, tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team turned in their best performance so far this season yesterday, winning the nightcap, 81 – 62. Four players reached double figures, led by Trever Zoss’ 27, Josh Luna had 15, and Zeb Adreon and Brady Elder each put in 14. Pleasantville’s girls fall to 1 – 6 and the boys now sit at 4 – 2. Pleasantville is off for vacation and will return to action on January 6 against Central Decatur.
