It wasn’t much longer of a wait, but the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team resumed their season a day later than planned thanks to unfavorable driving conditions on Monday. The Eagles were supposed to play Albia on the road, but instead, had to settle for a trip to Norwalk the next night. Though the Eagles pulled away late to win, 48 – 45, the first half was a bit sluggish in the eyes of Coach Kevin Van Maanen. He adds that by playing the Lady Dees, his girls may have been able to get their legs underneath them in the first 16 minutes, which they ended up doing in the second half to defeat the Warriors. Pella Christian’s girls are next on the road tomorrow night against Earlham.
