The Knoxville Basketball Squads wanted to go in and dominate Clarke last night…mission accomplished as the girls found their way through a slow start to win 59-26. Meredith Cunningham had a career high 26 points and Ashley Hawkshead poured in 15 points. The Panthers are now 11-0 on the season and 8-0 in the South Central Conference and will host class 4A number four ranked Carlisle this afternoon. The boys jumped on top of Clarke by 20 points after one quarter of play and coasted to a 75-44 win over the Indians. The Panthers began the game bombing three point shots, then went inside to Nathan Winters who led the Panthers with 17 points. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS he was glad his team came out and started the way they did. Knoxville is now 8-3 on the season and 7-1 in the conference. The Knoxville boys are off until Tuesday when they host Oskaloosa.
