They only took eight wrestlers in all, but Pella High still competed well in Saturday’s PCM Invitational tournament. The Little Dutch placed eighth as a team at the event, which was won by Knoxville. Two Pella grapplers took first place, they were Chase Petty and Jake Speltz, the latter of which pinned all of his opponents on the way to the title at 160 pounds. Ashton Messer was third in the 170 bracket and Ethan Speltz was fourth at 120. Pella is off until Thursday for a triangular meet up at North Polk with the Comets and Woodward Granger.
