Not quite as dramatic as their doubleheader last Friday against Gilbert, but the PCM girls’ and boys’ basketball teams each came away winners at Greene County last night. The Mustangs’ girls were winners, 67 – 31. Three PCM gals scored in double figures, led by Rachel Freland who had 19, Katie VandeWall scored 15, and Rachel Gulling dumped in 11. Despite a tough place to play, according to Coach Fred Lorensen, his PCM boys were winners in a 65 – 47 decision over the Rams. Logan Gillman scored 14, Trey Lindsey had 12, Luke Greiner 11, and Luke Pendroy added ten. Senior Chase Keuning also scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter to help his team pull away when the end result was still in question. The win is the seventh straight for the boys, who are now 8 – 2, the girls improve to 8 – 3, and they’re each back in the gym on Friday at South Hamilton.
