The PCM girls’ basketball team picked up their tenth Heart of Iowa Conference win on Tuesday night at home against Roland-Story, 54-42. The Lady Mustangs got out to a 19-2 lead in the first quarter using transition offense and turnovers and never relinquished the lead. Senior Courtney VanHouweling led PCM with 16 points and went over 1,000 career points with the performance. The PCM boys’ basketball team got back on their winning ways taking down Roland-Story, 52-44 to move to 10-3 on the year. PCM was led by Logan Gilman’s 18 points and Trey Lindsay added ten points. PCM boy’s head coach Fred Lorensen was pleased with his team’s balanced scoring in the win. Both games were heard on kniakrls.com and both teams will be in action at home on Thursday night against Nevada.
