The PCM girls’ basketball team finished strong going into the holiday break two weeks ago when they dominated number 13 Saydel at home 60-43. The Lady Mustangs are 7-2 on the year and have won four straight games leading up to tonight’s Heart of Iowa Conference match-up against number eight Nevada. The PCM girls’ basketball team has used a mixture of balanced scoring and up tempo defense. Rachel Freland leads the way for the Lady Mustangs averaging 17.3 points per game. Mustangs’ head coach Bret Grier says that defense and rebounds will be one key to knocking off Nevada. The PCM boys basketball team has been hot as of late winning their last five games after starting the year at 1-2. The Mustangs have used solid defense to get teams out of rhythm and are led offensively by Logan Gilman who is averaging 16.8 points per game.
