With some extra time to prepare thanks to Mother Nature, the Pella High basketball teams get back down to business this evening at home against conference rival, Norwalk. The Lady Dutch have won their last four, and will be playing an offensively-challenged Warriors team that blew a double-digit second half lead to Pella Christian on Tuesday and are winless through nine games. On the boys’ side, Norwalk is fresh off of an 11-point win over the Eagles a few days ago, but have dealt with the same inconsistencies that the Little Dutch encountered early on. Coach Mark Core says both teams are rusty trying to get in the flow of things, and the Warriors, though strong, are no exception. Pella’s boys will try to hand Norwalk their first conference loss of the season. Tonight’s doubleheader will be live on 92.1 KRLS and KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the play-by-play. Pre-game will begin at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off of the girls’ contest at 6:15.
