The Pleasantville girl’s basketball team struggled on the road on Tuesday night, as they fell to Martensdale-St. Marys 66-26. The Lady Trojans struggled to shoot the ball and turned the ball over quite a bit, not being able to get into an offensive rhythm. Kelsee Van Haalen led the way for Pleasantville with 12 points. The Pleasantville boy’s basketball team won in exciting fashion, as Brady Elder was fouled with no time left and knocked down one free throw to seal the 50-49 win over the Blue Devils. Trever Zoss led the way for the Trojans with 16 points. Head coach Tom Wilkins says their contest on Thursday night with Albia will be a tough match-up. Both games were heard on kniakrls.com and both teams are back in action tomorrow night on the road against Albia.
