Dubuque makes the drive to the Tulip City tonight to take on Central inside the P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium. These two schools opened up the conference schedule the first week of January and were swept; the Dutch women lost by just three points, but had the aid of Rachel Evans in the line-up. Central is 0 – 8 so far in the Iowa Conference, and though it seems unlikely, they could wind up in the league tournament if they can get hot at the right time, starting with the Spartans. Despite this, Coach Chelsea Petersen says the objective of the final three weeks of the season is to get a head of steam for next year. Central’s men were thumped by 16 courtesy of Dubuque, but a win here could move them up the ladder in the conference race. Tonight’s doubleheader in Pella will tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
