For the third straight week, the Central men’s track and field team is ranked sixth according to the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III poll. Eric Larson’s heptathlon win against 11 Division I opponents, combined with strong performances from Eli Horton and Isaac Steffensmeier in long-distance races last weekend helped maintain their place on the ladder. Both the women and men’s teams also received all-academic team honors, and four men’s cross country runners individually won all-academic awards. Horton, Steffensmeier, Mark Fairley, and Jamie Vander Veer were all honored.
On the wrestling circuit, Dutch sophomore, Matt Seabold at 197 pounds gained two spots to the number eight spot nationally, while Daniel Page is still number seven at 125.
