More improvement was shown from the Pella Christian bowling teams on Saturday in their home meet against Knoxville and Oskaloosa. The Panthers won both the boys’ and girls’ sides; Knoxville’s ladies prevailed by 84 pins over the Indians. Julyn Holmes for the Eagles had the high series with a 275, followed closely by Abbie Vander Molen’s 271. Knoxville was led by Mackenzie McCarty with a 321. Knoxville’s boys put a little more distance between them and the competition, winning by over 160 pins, while the Pella Christian boys had probably their best day of the season, scoring a total 2,290 for third place. Mac Sarver totaled 368 for PC’s high series, with Caleb VanZee posting a 320. Logan Mason led the Panthers witha 390 series. Full team results are below. Pella Christian is in action this Friday for the Little Hawkeye Conference meet in Oskaloosa, before state qualifying on February 17.
