Pella Christian beat one rival to face another after downing the Albia Blue Demons 85-69 in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS. Pella Christian’s performance was their best offensively in regulation this season, and the five Eagles starters each put up double digits. Head coach Larry Hessing says it was their high level of shooting that carried them to the win. The Eagles had to hold off a third quarter of dominance from Albia’s Matt Baker, who dropped 18 of his 25 total points in the period. Pella Christian was led by 24 from Levi Jungling and 17 from Brant Vermeer. Vermeer says he loves to see the offense rolling the way it was last night. The now 14-7 Pella Christian Eagles will face off with PCM in a rematch from the regular season in the Class 2A District 11 Final in Oskaloosa.
