The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad got down early and never recovered in a 59-32 loss to Dallas Center-Grimes last night. The Panthers were forced into the 25 turnovers and were limited to 21% from the field. Meredith Cunningham led the Panthers with 22 points, Knoxville falls to 17-3 on the season. The Knoxville boys got down early as well, but fought back only to see the Mustangs respond and close out the game 71-48. The Panthers were outscored by just nine after getting down 22-6 after the first quarter. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team needs to get out of the gates better. Nathan Winters scored 21 points for the Panthers who drop to 12-7 on the season and will host Grinnell on Friday.
