A lot of wrestling crammed into one day, the Southeast Warren wrestling team, with help from some Melcher-Dallas grapplers, came up just short in the championship dual to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows in the state team dual tournament yesterday, 33 – 26. The Warhawks defeated Logan-Magnolia, 38 – 26, and edged #2 Alburnett in the semis, 37 – 36. Southeast Warren had a 26 – 19 lead entering the final three weight classes, but an open weight plus a tech fall allowed C-G-D to grab the advantage. Full results are below. Both teams have individuals wrestling in the Class 1A individual tournament which starts today inside the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
