Central basketball had three players selected to the Capital One Division III Academic All-District 8 teams. Rachel Evans, senior for the women’s hoops team, and seniors Nile Eckermann and Aaron Rosenstiel were the trio who earned the honors. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a starter or a key reserve at the varsity level with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA. Evans is not only her team’s leading scorer, but she is leading the way with a 3.98 grade point average while majoring in athletic training. Eckermann has a 3.62 GPA with an exercise science major, and Rosenstiel is a business management and accounting major currently holding a 3.90 GPA. Central is one of only four Division III schools to have at least three student-athletes named to the academic all-district lists.
