The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team looks to bounce back tonight on senior night at home against Southeast Warren after a tough loss on Friday night to Mount Ayr. This will be the second match-up of the year between these two teams, as Southeast Warren won the first game on January 13, 63-46. Kennedy Core led the way for Pleasantville in the first contest with 19 points. The Trojan boys have played some close games over the last few weeks, but have found ways to win and look to do the same at home tonight against the Warhawks. The Trojans have won their last nine of ten games and took the first meeting against Southeast Warren, 65-47. The Trojans have used solid team defense to force teams out of their offensive rhythm and transition offense has helped them during their late run towards the end of the regular season. Trojan boys’ head coach Tom Wilkins says while it is senior night, they still need to be prepared for a tough conference game against a rival opponent. Both games can be heard on kniakrls.com with Garrett Knock and Tim Mount on the call. Pre-game starts at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off of the girls’ contest at 6:15. There will be a delayed broadcast of twinbill on AM 1320 and FM 95.3 KNIA immediately following the Knoxville vs. Dallas Center-Grimes basketball coverage.
