Pella High’s girls’ track and field team will begin their outdoor competition this Tuesday at Southeast Polk. The Lady Dutch have ran three indoor meets, but they haven’t had their whole team together for a meet yet, due to trips and Spring Break happening over the past few weeks. Pella will be one of the smallest schools in attendance on Tuesday, competing up against several Class 4A teams. His girls are not afraid of the challenge, says Coach Dak Rasmussen, and he’ll be using the results of Tuesday to see how his team stacks up next to larger schools early on. First events on Tuesday will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Southeast Polk.
