In his 30 years at Central College, softball coach George Wares has skippered 1,345 games. He’s coached in the rain, heavy winds, snow, below freezing temperatures, oppressive heat, and plenty of picture perfect days. But the one thing all of those games have in common is that they’ve been played outdoors. That changes today when the 12-ranked Dutch open the 2015 season with high expectations under the teflon of the “Rochester Bubble” in southeastern Minnesota. The Dutch will play two games this afternoon to open the season, at 4:30 against Wisconsin River Falls and at 7:00 against Wisconsin La Crosse. Tomorrow, Central will play a doubleheader against Wisconsin Eau Claire, at ten and noon. That noon game tomorrow will be our first broadcast of the 2015 season, as Trevor Castle will call the action live on www.kniakrls.com on our KNIA2 stream.
