The Central softball team hit the road back to Pella all smiles after sweeping their two games on their final day of their stay in Tucson, Arizona. The Dutch pitching staff allowed just two base hits total in their two games yesterday, defeating Lewis and Clark, 10 – 3, and St. Joseph’s Brooklyn, 8 – 0 in five innings. The hits were in favor of Central 28 – 2 in the doubleheader. Abbey Strajack picked up four base knocks, five RBIs, and three runs scored in the victory over Lewis and Clark. Central improves to 14 – 5 on the season, and they went 12 – 3 during their time in Tucson. They are off until the 27th to begin a stretch of six home games in three days versus Minnesota and Wisconsin schools.
