Central grapplers Daniel Page and Matt Seabold will each be All-Americans after their performances at the NCAA Division III National Tournament in Hershey, Pennsylvania yesterday. Page, at 125, won in round one, thanks to a late takedown in the third period. The senior fell in a close 3 – 2 decision to Guesseppe Rea of Wilkes. He’ll wrestle a Wartburg opponent today in the consolation bracket: Jake Agnitsch. Seabold won via major decision in his opening match over Hunter Ayen of Springfield, before being pinned by #2 ranked Shane Siefert of Wisconsin – Whitewater. The Dutch sophomore must also face a Knight opponent in the consolation bracket – Gerard Roman. The Dutch tandem will be the first wrestling All-Americans since 2004 when Kevin Owens finished eighth.
