The battle-tested Pella Christian Eagles boys have punched their ticket to Wells Fargo Arena after beating Des Moines Christian 48-41. The Eagles led by as much as eight in the back-and-forth contest, and took their final lead of the game after back-to-back threes from Brant Vermeer late in the 4th quarter. Levi Jungling led the Eagles with 17 points and had seven from David Kacmarynski. Senior Josh Posthuma says it took a complete team effort to overcome the Lions. Head Coach Larry Hessing says his group played one of their best defensive games this season. Number 7 seed Pella Christian will play Number 2 seed Western Christian on Tuesday, March 10th at 12:15 p.m. in the first round Class 2A State Tournament.
