In just her first season as a member of the DMACC softball team, former Twin Cedars Saber, Brittney Roby, was named the Iowa junior college offensive player of the week. Roby, in her team’s two games last Friday, went 6-for-8 at the dish, with a home run and two RBIs. The five-time high school first team All-State player scored five of her team’s 30 runs en route to an 18 – 1 win over Century and 12 – 0 triumph over Rochester. The Bears are 5 – 2 on the year so far, and Roby is batting a sultry .684, leading the team in hits and runs scored with 14 each. DMACC is in action tomorrow in Kansas to play Neosho County.
