In a sport like track and field, there’s not much strategy involved in preparing for a competition. Participants can’t play defense, the only thing they can do is work on fundamentals and techniques so they can give it their all when it comes time to perform. Dealing with a mostly younger squad, Pella Christian boys’ coach, Keith Anderson, says he’s been mostly working with his Eagles on these basic principles over the past few weeks. Anderson adds that this week, they’ll be ramping up their intensity to get ready for their first meet of the season, which is this Tuesday at home against Des Moines Christian, Lynnville-Sully, and Twin Cedars.
