Multi-eventer for the Central men’s track and field team, Eric Larson, is tied for first after four of seven events of the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III National Indoor Track and Field Meet in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Larson posted a score of 3,001, thanks to wins in the long and high jumps. He still has the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and 1,000 meters left to go. Former Knoxville runner, Jamie Vander Veer, qualified for today’s finals in the mile run. The distance medley relay team crossed the line in tenth place. On the women’s side, Abi Davis qualified for the finals in the 60 and 200 meter dashes. First events involving Central today get going at 10:00 a.m. CDT.
