Looking outside right now as opposed to this time the last couple of years, there is definitely a lot more green than what we’re used to. The advantage goes to our area golfers who were able to start practice this week. Though the last few days have been a bit cold and damp, teams have still been able to go outside as opposed to being cooped up indoors hitting wiffle balls. Pella Christian boys’ golf coach, Jim Dingeman, is happy to be able to take advantage of the nicer weather. Dingeman adds that even after losing a large amount of seniors last year, he still has close to 20 golfers out this year, along with some key duffers back hoping to make noise when sectionals and districts come around in May. The Eagles begin their season on April 6 against Pella High and Norwalk at Bos Landen.
